Joseph Sporn, President, founded The Sporn Company in 1999. It blossomed out of his invention of the Sporn Training Halter, and grew very quickly around this single product line. His design of the dog halter has helped over a million dog owners worldwide gain humane control over the most rambunctious leash pullers. All of their product designs and concepts come from the inspiration of their dogs at Yuppie Puppy Pet Care Center in New York City.

 

Not a newcomer to the pet industry, Joseph Sporn opened the first dog day care facility in the United States here at Yuppie Puppy in 1987 after becoming a certified groomer and working in an animal hospital. At first, it seemed a strange idea to many, but this idea soon spread throughout the city, then the country, and now the world. Since their design office is located above Yuppie Puppy Pet Care, all employees of The Sporn Company find plenty of time to interact with the dogs and their owners.
